Why needs SynE and PTP
The new mobile technologies such as 4G/LTE base stations also need higher time and phase synchronisation accuracy. So in order to let Ethernet - based IP backhaul asynchronous network to work together with other synchronous networks, it introduces two methods to synchronise: SyncE; and PTP.
SyncE full name is Synchronous Ethernet.It is a method used to distribute stratum 1 traceable frequency synchronisation to packet (Ethernet) nodes that need to communicate with TDM network elements. It is achieved though the physical layer in the same way that SONET/SDH line timing distributes its timing. Simply, it replaces the free – running ±100ppm clock normally supplying the TX Clock to the Ethernet PHYs with Phase – locked loop (PPL) which is governed by ITU-T G.8262.
PTP is other method for synchronsation. It is unlike SyncE did sychronisation over physical layer. It is packet based timing which relies on time stamp packets inserted in the data stream.

Optical Fiber Network Test
Since the internet service demands increasingly high speed bandwidth, Optical Fibre Network has been expanding rapidly. Hence, OTDR tester became an essential test equipment for service provider to install; monitor; and maintain Optical Fibre Network.
iOTA (Intelligent Opitcal Link Topology Analysis) of OTDR Test
Traditional OTDR only can display loss and event list of fibre link. Event types and link topology requires an experienced engineer to analyse manually. However, rapid growth of FTTH deployment demand definitely increases engineer’s workload and operator’s labour cost. iOTA function of OPWILL provides more comprehensive analysis of fibre link, assists engineer to deploy, operate, and maintain optical fibre network more easily.

Y.1564 Test
RFC2544 was the most popular standard for Ethernet test. However, it is specially designed for indoor network facilities test, not suitable for outdoor field test. Hence, ITU‐T Y.1564sam is particularly introduced for telecom operator to do Ethernet network service launch and fault diagnosis. Compared with RFC2544, it includes critical SLA standards such as packet jitter identification and QoS measurements, which could increase test speed promptly, save test time and resource, and optimises QoS.
Mapping Path for SDH and OTN
OPWILL Supplies the completed  SDH/SONET and OTN test solutions, meanwhile the mapping path displays the detail information about the test process. Moreover the SDH test supports up to STM64, the OTN test supports up to OTU4.
BERT and Multi-Stream Test

Ethernet BERT test adopts the similar principle of SDH BERT test. It is by transferring the Ethernet frames with special test code, then analyse these frames at the receiver to test the network.

Our testers also can be enable to generate multiple data streams to test the forward ability of these service in Ethernet network to simulate the reality. In addition, multiple data streams can be set as different priority.
